Littleton Fire Rescue will be hosting a presentation from Mitch Schneider on how Kent Fire has developed a Community Health Program called FD CARES. This is a great opportunity for locals here in Colorado to come get an education on what is happening with the ACA and Health Care reform and how it will reshape fire based EMS systems all over the country. This program is a template for departments to get started and is free to subscribe to. This program can easily be adopted into any department and tailored to each departments needs.
On March 4th from 09:00-15:00 at The City of Littleton City Center, Mitch Schneider, will provide details on how the ACA is impacting fire based EMS and how they have developed a program to keep our EMS systems relevant in the future. We encourage department staff and union leaders to attend this important seminar.
